Finding a therapist that you feel comfortable with can be a challenging process. Therapy is a very personal experience, and you need to feel like you can connect with the person you are working with. For this reason I use the first three sessions to get a sense of why someone has come to see me, and to allow them to decide whether my style of working fits for them. After this we decide together whether we are going to continue with the process.
I am originally trained in a psychodynamic way of working, and can provide therapy in English and Afrikaans.
I also have experience supervising training psychologists and psychiatrists working in state hospitals, and provide supervision for therapists in my private practice.
